Join BTO Youth in a beginner bird walk at Forest Farm Nature Reserve. Hosted by Ciera and Liliana (BTO Youth Representatives, Glamorgan South).

This event is designed for those who are new to birdwatching or looking to build confidence in identifying birds. We'll take a guided walk (approx. 1.5km*) through a mix of woodland and marshland habitats, focusing on learning to identify common woodland and waterbirds. Along the way, we'll cover useful tips for bird identification, from recognising key features to listening for calls and songs. No prior experience is needed.

Please note: Forest Farm have kindly allowed us to use their facilities at the meeting point free of charge. The walk is suitable for wheelchair users - please let us know if you require any additional assistance. Nearby bus and train services are available - let us know if support is required.

This event is a collaboration with the Cardiff Local Nature Partnership and the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales, run with the support of BTO. If you have any questions, please email youth [at] bto.org to find out more.
