Sherwood's movements
04 Apr 2019 - Sherwood still in Gabon?
We haven't heard from Sherwood's tag for a couple of weeks. However, this isn't unusual when our Cuckoos are in dense forest. When we last heard from him his temperature was fine but the charge on his tag was low. Fingers crossed he will 'pop-up' soon, and it will be interesting to see where he is when he does.
18 Mar 2019 - Sherwood has moved into Gabon
Sherwood has begun his journey west. During the last week he crossed the border into Gabon and is currently 120 km (75 miles) west of his last location in Congo. He is still in dense rainforest and in the Minkebe National Park.
04 Mar 2019 - Sherwood on the move
During the last few days Sherwood has moved north and east and has crossed the border into the Republic of the Congo. During this time he has travelled 145km (90 miles). He is just to the north of the Djoua River and the border with Gabon.
25 Feb 2019 - Sherwood still settled
Sherwood has been in the dense rainforest to the south of Minkebe National Park, Gabon for a month now. We are receiving lots of locations from his tag that show he has been moving short distances within the immediate area.
11 Feb 2019 - Sherwood settled - for now
We are receiving lots of locations from Sherwood's tag that show him settled in the area of rainforest to the south of Minkebe National Park, Gabon.
